The Velero Hotel can be found right at the center of Lusail, this New “smart city,” modern and awe-inspiring architectural designs, and grand-scale urban planning. This means that while the city overall is one meant to travel through, quite notable walking facilities are present around the hotel. Biggest one being a great visit rather than a far stroll, to the beautiful Place Vendôme Mall; an exquisite Parisian inspired Mall with all amenities for luxury shopping within it. A visitor here may take hours in window-shopping in the high-end boutiques, in taking in an artificial canal view and then treating oneself to the best available cafes and restaurants.

The Lusail Marina and lovely promenade can be reached on foot within a manageable time, about 15-20 minutes. This is a great area for walking, especially in the cooler evening hours when one can take in beautiful views of the marina’s impressive yachts and the futuristic skyline of Lusail and the nearby West Bay. There are many people who come to jog and cycle along the promenade.

Food and drinks are among the many amenities within the hotel, and later on, as more restaurants are developed around the area then, one can find something like the Lusail Food Arena, which has a special kind of drive-thru and walk-up food zone for a much more casual and varied dining experience. While the area is not yet fully developed, walking is concentrated in those major modern attractions to make it a great place to take a walk: clean, safe, and impressive.
