How to Arrive

For all international travelers, the point of arrival is Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha. The journey from the airport to the Velero Hotel in Lusail is a straightforward and comfortable 30-40 minute drive. The most convenient and highly recommended option is to take an official "Karwa" taxi from the well-organized taxi ranks at the airport. These are metered and provide a safe and reliable service.

A more up-to-date and increasingly popular method is simply to use a ride-hailing app such as Uber or Careem, both of which have cars aplenty at the airport. This means you can book your car through the app, then meet your driver at one of several designated pick-up points around the airport—often for a very competitive price indeed. For top levels of convenience, another great option available these days is just pre-booking a private airport transfer wherein a driver will be waiting for you on arrival.

If you prefer public transport, the newly opened Doha Metro is perfect, with the Red Line running directly from Hamad International Airport station to Lusail QNB station. The hotel is a short taxi or Uber ride from the station. Renting a car is also highly popular, thanks to excellent road conditions in Qatar; the hotel is easy to find with GPS, and another big plus for free parking on site.
